Lilly Kan’s background includes both preventing and controlling infectious diseases and determining how data can more broadly inform efforts to improve health. She currently works in the field of public health and has spent most of her professional career increasing the capacity of the nation’s nearly 3,000 local health departments to foster optimal health, equity, and security for all people.

During PLS, Kan focused on the development and implementation of a strategic plan to help local health departments better access, analyze, and take action on data to improve the health of our communities in partnership with a variety of stakeholders.
