Lauren Hughes

A family physician with policy and research experience, Lauren Hughes dedicates her career to innovating health and health care delivery to improve outcomes for vulnerable populations. Through better health, these communities can fulfill educational and economic opportunities.

During PLS, Hughes focused on implementing a new health care model designed to provide rural Pennsylvania hospitals with greater financial stability and a path forward to transform how they deliver care in their communities. This first-of-its-kind initiative will ensure continued access to needed healthcare services and preserve jobs that are critical to the economic vitality of rural places.
