Eugene Yi

Eugene Yi is an entrepreneur exploring ways to foster a healthy public sphere. After serving in the U.S. government and working in Silicon Valley, he co-founded Cortico from the Laboratory for Social Machines at the MIT Media Lab.

During PLS, Yi focused his efforts on designing and creating new civic spaces for local voices to be heard through civil, empathic public conversation that heals divisions from the inside of communities out. He also continues to build the Local Voices Network (lvn.org), a trans-local national network of conversation hosts prompting diverse, community voices and sharing them back into the public.
